This red carpet ensemble continues the actress from Persuasion’s reputation for taking chances. She stepped out in March to attend the Austin premiere of her movie Cha Cha Real Smooth at the SXSW Conference and Festival. She surprised everyone by donning a loudly patterned pantsuit rather than her customary glamorous outfit.
The outfit was made up of shades of brown and yellow and had a zipper closing. The clear crystal corset the Fifty Shades of Grey actress wore below, however, was the feature of the ensemble that caught the most attention. It enhanced the fun nature of her overall ensemble with its diamond-inspired pattern.
Dakota Johnson kept her makeup and accessories to a minimum so order to draw attention to the pantsuit and corset. The rising Madame Web actress had her brown hair pulled back into a traditional ponytail and accessorized simply with a necklace and a pair of earrings. With the help of eyeliner, mascara, and a lip color with a brown undertone, she completed the appearance.
Dakota loves to make everyone gasp with her daring costumes, so it’s obvious that she knows what her admirers desire. And it’s not the first time her passion for crystals has astounded people. She has previously made appearances at red carpet Hollywood events wearing crystal-adorned clothing. In late July, the actress attended the Tribeca Film Festival in a backless dress with crystals. Prior to it, she appeared at the Venice Film Festival’s September 2021 premiere of The Lost Daughter dressed in a crystal see-through gown.
