Actress Katheryn Winnick stated she stands with her nation only a day after US President Joe Biden said there is a “clear potential” Russia could invade Ukraine next month.
Winnick is a Canadian actress of Ukrainian descent who played Lagertha in the hit TV series “Vikings.”
“I stand by my Motherland, Ukraine.” the actress captioned a throwback photo from her recent visit to Ukraine on Instagram.
In recent weeks, the presence of tens of thousands of Russian troops near Ukraine’s borders has fuelled concerns of an invasion.
Russia denies that such strike is in the works. According to White House National Security Council spokesman Emily Horne, “President Biden stated that there is a distinct probability that Russia would attack Ukraine in February.”
