At the 2023 NAACP Image Awards, Zendaya returned to the red carpet in style. For her performance as Rue in HBO Max’s “Euphoria,” the actress is vying for the Best Actress in a Drama Series Oscar this evening.
Zendaya walked the red carpet in a paneled Versace gown at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California. The Emmy-winning actress’ outfit had a bustier-style bodice made of black and light green silk with a deep neckline and rounded cups. The dress had a strong thigh-high front slit and curving ruffles that cascaded down the back into a lengthy skirt with a train.
Longtime stylist Law Roach added a brilliant diamond bracelet, fringed post earrings, and a cocktail ring from Bulgari to complete Zendaya’s look.
In terms of shoes, Zendaya chose pointed-toe pumps, her go-to style, to round off her look. The “Zapped” actress wore a pair of shoes with sleek black uppers that complemented her outfit and the pair’s customary triangular toes. The set was completed with rounded countertops that surrounded the open D’Orsay shape, giving it a contemporary look. While the heels of the design could not be seen, they most likely consisted of 4-5-inch stiletto heels, which are customary for both the shoe form and Zendaya’s previous red carpet attire.
The 2023 NAACP Image Awards celebrate the successes of African artists, activists, and public figures.
