After Daniel Craig’s career as James Bond came to an end with No Time to Die, everyone is wondering who will be the next Bond. Consider our vote for Morena Baccarin, who just shared this elegant and sultry “James Bond moment” on Instagram. See the look in action below:
Morena Baccarin was obviously simply making up a caption to go with the photo, but it doesn’t make the casting any less appropriate. There have been several suggestions for the James Bond role. Many others are also hopeful that the job be filled by a woman or a person of color. If they decide to go with a female Bond, Baccarin’s femme fatale looks and action movie talents are ideal. To be honest, it’s surprising that Baccarin hasn’t previously been in the Bond series as another spy or a Bond lady.
While Morena Baccarin will not be playing James Bond in her next film, she will be appearing opposite a former 007 in another. Baccarin and Pierce Brosnan feature in Fast Charlie, which will be released in the spring of 2023. Charlie Swift is a mafia mercenary who seeks vengeance on a rival gang after his employer is slain in the film. James Caan, Toby Huss, Sharon Gless, and others feature in the film. Lee Goldberg and Richard Wenk wrote the script, which is directed by Philip Noyce. The script is based on the novel GUN MONKEYS by Victor Gischler.
While we wait for Deadpool 3 news, we can look forward to Morena Baccarin’s Instagram and her other forthcoming endeavors. Baccarin has numerous other projects in the works in addition to Fast Charlie, so we should be seeing a lot more of her in the near future. However, I’m still hoping for a female Bond.
