For the most part, Marvel’s Disney+ series have been critical hits, with Loki being a fan favorite. This is unquestionably owing to Tom Hiddleston’s continued dominance as the God of Mischief. It’s also because to the writing of creator Michael Waldron, who recently appeared on The Playlist for an interview and hinted that Loki Season 2 would deviate from the norm.
Marvel’s Loki was originally intended to be a limited series. The first season ended on a cliffhanger and only had six episodes. Producer Greg Waldron says “time will tell” if there will be more episodes this time. Without the limitation of a limited period, the second season might go in a variety of directions.
Loki Season 2 will undoubtedly deal with the universe’s aftermath, which will be unleashed by Sylvie. The MCU has been embracing the multiverse in its huge tentpole flicks. First, we got to see all of our favorite Spider-Men and Spider-Man villains in No Way Home.
Doctor Strange will completely open and explore the multiverse in this film. The events of Loki continue to seep into the rest of Marvel’s properties. Ant–Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is also set to feature Kang as a major character.
Loki’s second season will premiere in 2023. It’ll be intriguing to see where the program fits into the MCU’s bigger picture. Let’s hope we get more of everyone’s favorite alligator version at the very least.
