Spider-Man: Homecoming is still playing in theaters worldwide, and fans agree it’s the best one yet. Now that we’ve seen the film, it’s time to see the takes for the sequel. Sony posted a video of Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon looking back at their audition tapes for the first film.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon watched their audition videos for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. One of the most interesting parts was when Batalon broke out of character and then reappeared. The actor took a second to say his lines and then moved back into the frame. Check out the reactions all three actors had to their first auditions below.
It’s been seven years since those audition videos were shot. The casting directors and production team couldn’t have made a better choice. The video with the trio ended with the team in high spirits and commenting on how talented they are.
The film owes its success to Sony and Marvel uniting the entire Spider-man universe into a single cinematic release. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield were all in attendance for this installment.
Sony plans on doing another trilogy with Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Tom Holland stated that he’s unsure about his future within the franchise. The actor also appeared in the recently released Uncharted film and is currently lined for a Fred Astaire biopic. Zendaya is posed to appear in Dune 2, and Batalon’s Zaya is presently in post-production.
