Qi’ra, played by Emilia Clarke, is rumored to be getting her own Disney+ series.
We haven’t had any big Star Wars news in a while, but that is about to change. Emilia Clarke is returning to the Star Wars franchise as Qi’ra, according to The Hashtag Show, and might be receiving her own live-action sequel series on Disney+ soon.
For those unfamiliar with Clarke’s role, she was Han Solo’s erstwhile love interest who would eventually betray him in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
If this is true, Clarke will be joining Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian, who Disney said would be receiving his own series on the streaming service.
Clarke will next be seen in Marvel’s Secret Invasion series later this year, but since Game of Thrones finished in 2019, he has mainly been off the spotlight.
Despite her absence from other live-action projects, Qi’ra’s tale has been addressed in multiple Star Wars comic books over the last several years, as The Hashtag Show points out.
It remains to be seen if the series will adapt those stories or follow the character on completely new adventures.
Let’s remember Emilia’s Qi’ra below:
